As I write this post on what has been dubbed “Blue Monday”, I just can’t understand that rather depressing sentiment at all. Rather than being depressed at being back at work after a wonderful break (for us it was a short trip to Paris!), I am truly excited to get stuck back in. There is so much positive sentiment around— the economic outlook and business confidence is reportedly up, unemployment is going down and I personally feel a new energy as I look forward to 2014.
There are a myriad of opportunities out there, for those who are willing to go the extra mile and perhaps take a calculated risk or two. And when better than at the beginning of a New Year to commit to one or two key changes that could really make a significant difference to your business.
A positive attitude is key and so, to those who choose to dwell on notions such as Blue Monday, I would say “Snap out of it”. Surround yourself with positive thinkers, not negative, and be happy that you’re a business owner in charge of your own destiny, rather than an employee working for someone else’s gain.
